Main aim of the charity

Cancer Research helps to fund doctors, scientists and nurses to help beat cancer sooner and provides cancer information to the public. Their vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are beaten and current aim is to accelerate progress and see 3 in 4 patients surviving the disease by 2034. This work is completed mainly in the UK.

How the employee got involved and why

I lost my Nan to cancer either this year and wanted to do something in her memory and raise money for Cancer Research at the same time.

What work does the employee do for charity?

We organised our 3 Peaks Challenge and set up a just giving page and then promoted the page to raise as much money as possible. It was a one off event but we may do more in the future.
