Main aim of the charity
We seeks to improve health and social conditions of children with cancer in Syria, throughout providing psychological proper support to children and their families during the treatment period.
How the employee got involved and why
Our charity program is a team work involving DHL Express Syria company owners and most employees. Started in 2008, we realized that we purchase over 7 tons of A4 white paper, let alone all packaging material. We decided to start a recycling awareness action by selling all shredded paper, damaged, obsolete and scrap material.
What work does the employee do for charity?
Within few months we collected a good amount of money. We decided to use it to help orphans and NGO BASMA “Childhood with Cancer Support Association”. As the amount collected was not substantial, the company decided to create a charity account in its annual budget.
What impact would winning have on the charity?
It will be donated to children needing bone marrow transplant.
What impact would winning have on the employee?
It will reinforce our team spirit to serve our charity program.
