Main aim of the charity

Our cause is to prevent and avoid more deaths from drowning in aquatic environments, for this we work on prevention and reaction, we work with children, schools and adults. Safeguard life in the sea.

How the employee got involved and why

1. Since childhood I had a childhood linked to the sea, being the son of a family of seafarers. At about 13 years of age, I suffered an experience where my mother and my brother were dragged by a current, being rescued by my father and the lifeguards. From that moment, I began to focus my efforts on belonging to that team of people dedicated to rescuing lives. Today I have more than 10 years of experience in rescue, being part of a volunteer team of rescuers who perform their work in aquatic environments, based on the city of Valparaiso, Chile's main port.

What work does the employee do for charity?

2. Currently we volunteers have a very extensive academic network, where we all must learn from different areas, but my job is to be surface swimmer, rescue swimmer. This is the first link between the rescuers and the victim. In addition to this, I am the Head of the Telecommunications Department, where I develop administrative processes aimed at getting improvements and updates for the different systems of communications in addition to the maintenance of our teams as well as to dictate workshops for all our volunteers.
