Main aim of the charity

Indonesian Pageants together with Kelas Gambar concern more about children. We make serious efforts to help victims of child abuse, violence and underprivileged children through basic learning how to draw and having quality time with them through painting class.

How the employee got involved and why

As a founder of Indonesian Pageants community, which has been formed since 2004; I have learnt lots of things. Organizing, leadership, establishing cooperation with other parties, and I have also learnt to believe that dreams might come true. In addition to team and self development, pageant also taught us how to bring up our social sense. Pageants are not always about glamour or even beauty itself, but it shows us how to have empathy, stay humble, down to earth and inspire the youth in our nation to always carry on good deeds.

What work does the employee do for charity?

Since 2017, Indonesian Pageants started to actively take part in focusing our social activity that related with children. We concern more about children because they are the future of our nation, Indonesia. We make serious efforts to help all victims of child abuse violence, and underprivileged children. This year we collaborate with Kelas Gambar, which its leader is one of our team, Teddy. Together with Galih, they are touched to build up the organization of Kelas Gambar, Drawing and painting are their passion, and they hope through painting they could dive deeper into the colorful childhood. The underprivileged children, post disaster victims, low economic status, as well as violence trauma children are becoming our concern. We will try our best to bring their smile and to recolor their dark world because of the problems. Our recent social activity was in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Since the earthquake hit Lombok on July 29th, 2018 about 5,7 - 6,4 magnitude; and reached its peak on August 5th, 2018 at 7 magnitude. It damaged the infrastructures, thousand of tourists and locals are forced to be evacuated, with lots of children included. Kelas Gambar flew to Lombok on August 11th, 2018 with hope to in arm the children in the refugee, distract their fear, misery and trauma.
