Main aim of the charity

The idea is to reach out to society at large through our CSR wings - GoTeach, GoGreen and Gohelp. I particularly go with the first two as it revolves around the Education and Environment. Clearly, these needs more attention to create a sustainable environment and educated race to protect it in days ahead. We aim to educate young minds, instill passion in them, help them be responsible, save the environment, plant saplings around, beat plastic pollution and eliminate carbon footprint, reduce, reuse and recycle.

How the employee got involved and why

I always connected with social responsibilities. The idea of reaching out to marginalized society and help them upscale in any form has always fascinated me. When I learnt about DHL CSR wings, I have already made my decision of joining this euphoria. There after it has been an amazing journey. I head the CSR activities for Chennai (India).

What work does the employee do for charity?

I have been associated with Teach For India, a NGO dedicated to deliver quality education to underprivileged kids. We visit the small kids to teach them basics of computers. We engage them through variety of role plays and story telling. Learning at the heart of it. We have also associated ourselves with SOS children's village, a NGO which provides underprivileged and abandoned kids with quality education, healthcare, nutrition and shelter. We visit them on world environment day and teach them about environment and pollutions. We do sapling plantation there. we have also partnered with Sankalptaru this year to plant saplings around the city.
