How the employee got involved and why

“Lend a Hand to a Special Child” association which was founded by parents of children with special needs turned to us for support. With the help of thousands of volunteers and DHL Express employees we are working to change the attitude of the community towards them, and grant them the most special gift of all – an ordinary life. They heard that we have strong values and that we prefer contribute according to values and not only financial contribution.

What work does the employee do for charity?

DHL employees arrive every Monday and Thursday and help the children overcome their fears. they are doing that by visit the Dog Shelter and horses range and assist in giving the children the feeling of confidence. The children are being taught to train dogs and take care of them, Thereby fostering the understanding and the need for their own self-dependence. At the Farm there is “Therapeutic Horse Riding” that promotes the functions of people with disabilities and children with emotional issues and low self-esteem. Learning to control the horse eventually teaches the children self-control and increases their self-confidence.
