Main aim of the charity

In addition to nature conservation, the organization also offers jobs for the long-term unemployed. Every year we try to bring hundreds of people back into society and offer a stepping-stone to a permanent job. We also offer educational projects for schools and companies. By laying out hiking trails in nature reserves, we can annually welcome more than 2,000,000 people. Through the purchase policy we can make well-considered choices for nature management and nature restoration. Our slogan is nature for everyone.

How the employee got involved and why

8 years ago I started doing volunteer work for Natuurpunt and immediately started working for the protection of our nature and with special attention for owls. It quickly became clear that our nature is having a hard time and needs our help. We should all understand that our environment is the fountainhead of life. It is not only direct, but also the sustenance, development and growth of the living species and all their activities. The quality of our social lives is bears direct relation to the quality of our living environment.

What work does the employee do for charity?

I dedicate myself daily for the preservation of the habitat of owls but together with 6000 other volunteers we are committed to nature conservation by buying areas, maintenance and protection of areas and helping people to discover nature. We do it for the children of the future. They have the right to grow up in a healthy and natural environment. Our nature is one of our dearest possessions, which we have to take care of every day. Humans play a vital role in nature just like everything else. What separates us from nature though, is the ability to understand our place within it.
