Main aim of the charity

It is a global federation working to protect and care for children who have lost parental care, or who stand at risk of losing it. They work with communities, partners and states to ensure that the rights of all children, in every society, are fulfilled.

How the employee got involved and why

Back in 1983, when I was a student, I went to Peru. With our professor and friends we went to the "barrios pobres" where the poor live, to bring clothes, food, medicine, and spending time with the poor families, playing with the children. Their poverty and simple life and houses, yet joy and gratefulness for what we brought and did, gave me back so much that I decided "Once I earn my own money, I want to do something for charity donating money on a monthly basis". And I have now done this since 1989, when I started my first job - which means nearly 30 years of charitable help and support in Latin America!!!

What work does the employee do for charity?

Since 1989, I have had Godchildren/sponsored children in Brazil and Uruguay. Unfortunately, I have never met any of them personally, but I have kept contact via mail.
