Main aim of the charity
Tzu Chi is most well known for its disaster relief efforts worldwide. Tzu Chi volunteers are not to discuss business, politics, or preach religion while giving aid. One of the most iconic attributes of Tzu Chi disaster relief efforts is that volunteers not only provide short term aid but also partake in long term projects to rebuild the communities affected. Tzu Chi often builds new homes, schools, hospitals, and places of worship (including churches and mosques for non-Buddhists) for victims following a disaster.
How the employee got involved and why
I participated the volunteer of “Taiwan Buddhist Tzu-Chi Foundation” for 10 years. I found that many people need help in this modern society and I want to help people in dire need of anything. “Taiwan Buddhist Tzu-Chi Foundation” is a worldwide organization and I can meet many like-minded people in this close-knit group.
What work does the employee do for charity?
We help many new inhabitants to blend into our society and hold many different activities, including flower arranging, dancing, and Chinese calligraphy. We also focus on environmental protection.
We care about the air pollution, use less plastic bags, and clean the beach. Through blood testing and blood donation, we also help critically illed patient who need "bone marrow transplantation".
