Till today , the charity has helped over one thousand families .
How the employee got involved and why
I found about " Tyeb El Eid" through social media, and I was very impressed with the initiative, and had a strong urge to contribute by donating my items( old and new). I believe that every one has the right to lead a decent life , and with the little things I am donating, I am helping people in need. The fact that a jacket and boots I donate, will keep someone warm in winter is very rewarding. The little frivolous items I donate, draw smiles on the faces of people in need !
What work does the employee do for charity?
At "Tyeb El Eid", I am a regular donator for clothes, accessories, shoes, toys, books etc. Also , I frequently volunteer at the shop and help receive donations, sort items, and package them.
What impact would winning have on the charity?
Tyeb EL Eid is in great need of funds , as it is a personal initiative by a young lady. The funds will help sustain the rent of the shop for at least a year , or even rent a larger space. Also, purchase a van in which we can transport the donations to needy families across the country. Nonetheless, the funds will also go to the shop's "emergency fund" that aims to help families and children in need.
What impact would winning have on the employee?
If I win DHL's Got Heart, I will be very happy because I will be able to have a greater contribution to Tyeb El Eid, and will able to help more families who are in need of clothes, furniture, school items, books etc. There are many needy people who need a helping hand in leading a decent life, and this is what we aim for at this charity.
