Mediha volunteers with Benim Yuvam, an organization that visits children’s homes in Istanbul and other cities. It hosts play-based workshops to support the children’s emotional development and give them the skills they’ll need to thrive later in life. The children’s basic needs – such as food and accommodation – are met by the government, but what Mediha and the other volunteers gives is just as important: love and friendship.
