Deaf people in Zambia are largely neglected by society, and as a result, often end up begging on the streets. But Lombe is passionate about helping them, believing in ‘ability, not inability’. He runs a project for deaf people in his community, teaching them sign language and helping them express themselves. He has also set up a car wash that employs deaf people so that they can support themselves.
