How the employee got involved and why
21st September is celebrated as world Alzheimers Day that was when we got to know about this NGO and we started coming to this NGO 3 years back. We visited their facility and appreciated the work which they are doing. We thought we become its volunteers and started spending some time with patients over there.
What work does the employee do for charity?
In our spare time we come regularly to NGO and give counseling’s, playing chess, carom board, blocks, art and crafts and talk to patients which boost their confidence. ITS BEEN OVER 3 YEAR THAT WE ARE PART OF THIS NGO NOW AND WANT TO TAKE IT TO NEXT LEVEL
What impact would winning have on the charity?
NGO currently covers a limited geographical area and could provide day care support to affected people in that limited area. Winning this amount will come as a great relief as there vision of expanding the area and arranging a 24x7 support for such patients. The NGO can also focus on the very poorer sections of the society suffering from the same disease.
What impact would winning have on the employee?
For us it's like a sense of achievement which words may not describe. If I have to summarize our feelings then we will feel very fortunate to be able to help the NGO at such a scale. And of course a sense of pride to be part of such a great organization. DHL for past few years has been a guiding force to contribute to our society in whatever capacity we can. Winning here will definitely make us believe that with awareness about such great cause we can bring a bright change in the lives of the needy ones.
