Main aim of the charity

The most important aim of the union is to assure equal possibilities for living for disabled people and other people groups with lesser means, so they will be enabled to get help for everyday needs, take part in the organized social activities, communicate and feel happy.

How the employee got involved and why

My husband has been disabled since birth and some of my friends also live with disabilities. All of them are very nice and capable people, just they can’t do everything like we can. My husband joined the union called Ida-Harjumaa Invaühing, most active union of disabled people in Harjumaa county . I think these kinds of unions are very important for society as they help people in every aspect and make the world a better place to live, so I joined them as a support member.

What work does the employee do for charity?

I have no extra money to donate to them, but I help them as I can with everything I can - negotiations, media communication, as a guide during nature trips and support them with physical help whenever it’s needed – pushing the wheelchair, supporting people without balance etc, etc.
