How the employee got involved and why
The Finance EOS Champions ran a sock drive for " 67 minutes for Mandela Day" and wanted to donate the collection to a worthy cause during the cold winter months. Our EOS team are humble and have a heart to give back to the community so after receiving heartfelt emails from the homes, we selected Bulamahlo Home & Day Care Centre as they house orphans, foster, abandoned and abused children as well as Supa Dimama who houses senior citizens.
What work does the employee do for charity?
The EOS Champions after collecting 689 pairs of socks and wanting to give their 67 minutes for Mandela Day, personally took the socks to the 2 charities and spent some quality time with the children and senior citizens. The Champions have also started a Santa Shoe Box drive which will allow them to donate the fully packed shoe boxes with day to day living items and toys / colouring in sets for the children, donated by staff and family / friends of the Finance Team.
