How the employee got involved and why

I joined by the desire I had to help the community, seeing how many people died on the beaches for improper use or for unsafe behavior. I met the Valparaiso Lifeboat when I was very young and my father, who was a sailor, told me that these brave men crossed the great waves at times of heavy storms to go to rescue sailors from ships, when I reached the age and I could Being in the city of Valparaiso living, I joined promptly. Today I am part of the official status, I am 10 years of volunteer and I am the Telecommunications Officer.

What work does the employee do for charity?

I am currently developing in the area of telecommunications and navigation security, where I take care to keep the officer on duty informed of the different navigation risks, tracing directions in the navigation chart, operating electronic navigation equipment in addition to maintaining the safety of navigation completely in terms of collisions and / or approaches and to the different emergencies to which we turn.

What impact would winning have on the charity?

The price translates into personal benefits and for all the equipment, where you can buy my protective elements and uniforms for the equipment, fuel for our boats, an end of things that as volunteers, those costs come out of our own pocket.

What impact would winning have on the employee?

Totally positive, in the pillar of motivated people, you can do, etc. It is an award to the arduous laboratory and sacrificed workforce that we develop 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Always thanking DHL Express for giving me the time required to fulfill this cause as well, making the times of my work and this volunteering compatible.
