Main aim of the charity
Fútbol Más started in 2008 with the aim of promoting resilience and happiness in children and adolescents living in contexts of social vulnerability. It is implemented in the heart of the neighborhoods, working with two main actors: children and their communities.
The main vision is to promote the well-being of children and young people, strengthening resilience processes, significant links and community cohesion through play and sports..
How the employee got involved and why
One year ago, I met this cause that works with children involved in dangerous neighborhoods. I believe that creating a good and healthy environment will help this children to believe that there area better opportunities than drugs and violence.
What work does the employee do for charity?
I am mainly involved in planning, coordinate and support the football activities on weekends.
What impact would winning have on the charity?
The neighborhoods don't have any government resource, and children are asked to work to support their family, for that reason, some of them have to leave school. The mail impact of this award is to let them know that there are more opportunities and they are important to a company that is aware of them.
What impact would winning have on the employee?
I'm fully committed to this cause and I share with them not just my time, but also try to share the values that I practice every day.
Winning this award will reinforce the bound that I have with DHL Values, and also will reinforce the commitment of making this world a better place.
