Hong Kong Federation of Women's Centres

Main aim of the charity

Hong Kong Federation of Women's Centres (HKFWC), founded in 1981, is a non-partisan and non-religious women's organization. We concern about the situation of grassroots women, and promote gender equality in Hong Kong through services, education and advocacy. Through our women centres, we develop volunteer networks, provide appropriate services for women, and develop their potential. HKFWC enables women to develop their Confidence, Independence and Competence.

How the employee got involved and why

I want to help the grassroots and contribute my knowledge to the society. Then, I start searching the volunteers work online. I has found Hong Kong Federation of Women's Centres and their visions are close to mine.

What work does the employee do for charity?

I am as counselling officer in HKFWC and I have conducted interview with the grassroot women.

What impact would winning have on the charity?

I could donate the funding to HKFWC and helps more grassroot women. Also, more people can watch the video and know more HKFWC. I hope more and more people can know about this meaningful association.

What impact would winning have on the employee?

Actually, it will not make a great difference on me. It is because I will keep doing the volunteers' work in HKFWC and DHL, no matter I win the competition or not. :)
