Main aim of the charity

We have three goals: 1. To provide 5 days and 4 nights of the most unforgettable fun for the children who attend! 2. To assure a safe and encouraging environment for everyone. 3. To grow as human beings in ways we never thought possible

How the employee got involved and why

I have volunteered for KAMP Dovetail for six years. I heard about KAMP from a friend of my mother. My career goal is to be an Occupational Therapist for children with special needs. Having exposure to a wide variety of children with differences in abilities has helped mold my path for my future in the Occupational Therapy field. Working with individuals with differences in abilities is not only challenging but extremely gratifying to know that one week out of the year you have changed that child's life in some way or another.

What work does the employee do for charity?

I work one on one with a camper assigned to me for the week throughout many activities including: fishing, boating, swimming, horseback riding, movies at the theater, a carnival, arts and crafts, and much more. I am responsible for my camper and that they have the best week of their year having fun under the sun.
