Main aim of the charity

the hospital was founded to help people who otherwise lack appropriate health care.

How the employee got involved and why

Since I was a child I was always attracted to Africa. In the period from 1989-1990 I worked as a nurse in a hospital in Fontem, Cameroon. When in october of last year I heard about what happened to this hospital in Kinshasa, I immediatly felt I had to do something. As soon as I got home I contacted the NGO to understand what was needed and how I could help. I could also meet Dr. Arthur Ngo who was excited about my proposal to help

What work does the employee do for charity?

I helped to raise founds for the reconstruction of the hospital, new furniture and everything needed to rebuilt the hospital. I contacted organisations and hospitals where I worked (together with friends). I also starteds crocheting dolls who are pregnant, can deliver and breastfeed their baby, as well as anatomic models of breasts. Both are used in training health workers and midwifes. In the beginning of this year we could sent a container filled with supplies, furniture, sterilisation material,.... I also could add dolls and demonstration breast I crocheted.
