Main aim of the charity

Peter Mac is one of the world’s leading cancer research, education and treatment centres globally and is Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to caring for people affected by cancer. We have over 2,500 staff, including more than 580 laboratory and clinical researchers, all focused on providing better treatments, better care and potential cures for cancer.

How the employee got involved and why

I have lost quite a few young friends to cancer and feel very strongly about research to find a cure for this dreaded disease. I like cycling and what better way to raise funds whilst also keeping healthy.

What work does the employee do for charity?

I have been doing the 100 Kms. bicycle ride 4 years in a row to raise much needed funds for Peter Mac Cancer Research, this year I was able to raise AU$3953.23 and was nominated as one of their Ambassadors! I will be doing it for the fifth time next year and intend to raise $5000!
