Main aim of the charity
The therapy-center Regenbogental is specialized in the support of chronically or terminally ill children, children and youths with special requirements and families traumatized by grief.
Their services range from hippotherapy, multisensory integration to holistic art and music therapy or guidance during periods of grief. Their target is to foster abilities like concentration, communication but also to increase for example self respect, self-conciousness as well as the overall personal wellbeing of their patients and families.
How the employee got involved and why
The idea started about 3 years ago, when we were brainstorming our options for a joint social activity during an EOS-follow up meeting. As most of us had still useful things at home which we didn’t need but might best be of use to others, we finally decided on a fleamarket.
The wife of a colleague’s children’s doctor is heading the therapy-center Regenbogental. Being close to our office it was the perfect candidate.
What work does the employee do for charity?
I am part of the FI team organizing the flea market.
What impact would winning have on the charity?
It would enable more children and families to get support for their hard days. Additional funds would help them closer to their target to offer the option for vacations to families in need.
What impact would winning have on the employee?
That the whole team is even more motivated to stay engaged for baking the cakes for the flea market and to raise more awareness in the organization.
