Main aim of the charity

We support education, health and agriculture in The Gambia. Our aim is to built schools and skill training centers for less privileges who are left behind in our communities and together we can make lives better.

How the employee got involved and why

I was managing other charitable organizations in my home country The Gambia for 23 years. Then 2016 I started my very own project: Lajos Nursery School Farafenni, a kindergarten for orphans, half-orphans and other children who's parents can't afford to send them to school. 2017 I founded the charitable organization Schools for Gambia Leipzig e.V.. Our cause is to provide a quality education for children and also youth, to learn professions after school so to have a better future in their home country!

What work does the employee do for charity?

I am the chairman of the charitable organization, every year I spent my yearly holidays in The Gambia to help the poor and the needy Gambians. In Germany I try to raise funds for the school feeding program, the medical care of the children, the school materials, schools uniforms and this year for the development of a Skill Training Center for Youth after school.
