Main aim of the charity

To help children with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and improve the quality of their lives.

How the employee got involved and why

As part of the Customer Service team in Bulgaria 4 years ago we have decided to use the platform of CS Week and to organize a charity bazaar to support children in need in our country. Since then this became our tradition and every year we raise funds for different charity initiatives. It gives us purpose and great satisfaction to help others and to be able to give a chance for a better life to someone else.

What work does the employee do for charity?

At the end of every CS Week in October we organize a charity bazaar and we involve our DHL colleagues to come and buy homemade food, handmade accessories, souvenirs and this year we even had digital art. All items are made and prepared by our colleagues from Customer Service. This initiative became so popular that recently colleagues from other functions decided to join in! Every year there are more and more people participating and the funds we raise are growing. So far we used these funds to help children and young people with disabilities in Sofia (2016), single parents and their newborns in Rousse (2017), orphans with disabilities in Rousse (2018) and children with spinal muscular atrophy in Bulgaria - SMA (2019).
