Main aim of the charity

The Ronald Mc Donald House hosts families of children who are hospitalized for serious illnesses, long treatments or who have to undergo special interventions at the Basel children's hospital. The house is 5 minutes walk and is accessible 24h / 7 days. RMCD works closely with the hospital communicating when there are free rooms and giving them access codes, showing great confidence. All this is done thanks to sponsors, such as DHL, but also private sponsors, offers and donations.

How the employee got involved and why

DHL Express already started this charitable case with the Ronald Mc Donald House in Basle. In my private live I'm also involved in some charitable causes and I find to be involved representing a big company is also a honor.

What work does the employee do for charity?

Since January 2019 I have the honor to be involved in this charitable cause. I organized with the responsible of the house a Brunch a BBQ but also just simple go there and talk with the people. I sent also some small presents for the KIDS of the family or thanks DHL Express I bought some needed object like a Gaz BBQ.
