Main aim of the charity
The aim is to support the families with the recourses required to live a normal and health life in the society. UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for refugees, forcibly displaced communities and stateless people.
How the employee got involved and why
The knowledge that you’re helping others is hugely empowering and in turn, makes me feel happier and more fulfilled. I feel I have a moral duty to use what I have to help others. A sentiment very much rooted in my personal values and principles which I have learned from my parents and during my course of life.
What work does the employee do for charity?
I do donation to the UNHRC to support the family at the refugee camp for their monthly supply. I have done small fundraising event to raise money, so that I can support more families at the refugee camp. I also volunteer with INJAZ Kuwait for conducting classes to students about finance. Donating blood regularly - or even as a one-off - is a great way to ensure that I am giving back to those who need it. By giving blood, I am contributing to a nationwide challenge to provide life-saving products whenever and wherever it is needed.
