Surasak’s mother was a schoolteacher who died when he was young, forcing him and his brother to face the hardship of growing up in the countryside. This inspired him to set up Pheua Nong – an organization that helps schoolchildren facing the same challenges that he did.
Every year, Pheua Nong travels more than 500km to schools in remote areas. There they donate stationery, books, used clothes and sports equipment. They also provide the children with hot food that they’ve prepared in Bangkok. Surasak is determined not to forget the hardship he faced and to continue to support these schoolchildren.
