Football was good to Alphonse when he was young, and now he wants to give back. His organization, African Roots Association, takes kids from the streets and gives them a chance to pursue their footballing dream. The charity gives them a home, feeds them and puts them through a professional football training program.

They currently take care of around 50 kids but Alphonse wants to expand the project and accommodate twice that number. Alphonse is not just trying to create footballers, he’s showing kids from disadvantaged backgrounds how to build a better life.
