Fiji is a very beautiful country, but a quarter of the population lives in poverty. Joytika sees it as her responsibility to help them. As an active member of Being Helping Hand Fiji, Joytika visits the squatter settlements of Suva, where she helps the families of children with disabilities – bringing essential supplies and offering emotional support.
She also supports the homeless of Suva City – distributing food, blankets and socks and taking the time to find out how she can help with their individual needs. Joytika says that helping others brings her peace and makes her feel truly blessed.
