When Zainab’s aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer, it affected her profoundly. There are more than 5,000 case of cancer a year in Iraq, 22% of which are breast cancer. Zainab believes that all women should be entitled to the same treatment.
So she is collecting donations and raising money to open a free screening center in the Al-Bishara hospital.

The biggest expense is the mammogram machine which can cost around $20-30,000. But Zainab remains passionately committed to making her dream come true – providing breast cancer screening for every woman.
