Dounia had a tough start in life. Her father died when she was young and, coming from a poor family, she thought she’d have to leave school. Luckily, the charity SOS Children’s Villages sponsored her education. Now she’s returning the favor. Dounia does voluntary teaching and provides helpful advice and emotional support for teenagers.
She also works with much younger children – organizing games, reading stories and, most importantly, putting smiles on their faces. She’s immensely grateful for everything that SOS Children’s Villages has done for her. And even more grateful that she now has a chance to pay back their goodwill.
