When Idau first visited the New Life Children’s Crisis Centre, she immediately knew she wanted to get involved. A lot of children in Papua New Guinea face family and physical violence. They end up on the streets, trying to survive on their own. The New Life Children’s Crisis Centre is a safe house for children coming from violent and abusive backgrounds.
Idau loves spending time with the children – playing, singing, dancing and handing out food and gifts. But she wants to do even more. She’s now hoping that through DHL’s Got Heart, she can provide these kids with much-needed counselling. In her own words: “to give them hope to dream again”.
