Mabel has been a volunteer nearly all her life. But when she came across Apoyo Escolar she found a cause she was really passionate about. Apoyo Escolar offers much-needed teaching and educational support to children from low-income families in Paraguay. As a volunteer teacher, Mabel helps with homework, assists in Maths and provides guidance for children who speak the local Guaraní language.

Apoyo Escolar works in three different communities, bringing educational reinforcement to over 250 children. Mabel is delighted to be providing a service that the country badly needs and helping create a better society.
