Main aim of the charity

Help low-income people with free breakfast daily. We offer about 3,000 daily breakfasts distributed in 24 "Ollas comunes". This is financed thanks to the donations of our network of contacts and the sale of pots with our project "SEÑORA MACETA".

How the employee got involved and why

In December 2013, a group of friends and I began to provide social assistance in low-income towns near our capital, bit by bit, we managed to grow and expand our help to the Peruvian highlands. Now, Covid-19 momentarily paused all our campaigns in Pampamarca and the Las Palmas school in Lurín, but we could not sit idly by seeing so much need. Many, many people lost their jobs and having to be quarantined for so many months without working exhausted their few resources. Given this, the different communities usually join forces and make free meals for everyone, that's where we come in helping them to obtain food to continue providing breakfast to about 3,000 people for free.

What work does the employee do for charity?

I am the founder of Afrazame, four of my closest friends and I run the association. We take care of getting donations among our friends and family, we do all the logistics of hire a bus to take us to Pampamarca, to get volunteers who want to travel and could pay a bus ticket, volunteers with education's interest. And now, we make beautiful pots to sell and cover the expenses of 3,000 breakfasts a day in 24 "ollas comunes" ("Ollas comunes" is a group of people who cook and offer food for free for people with low economic resources) We Carry out from our same publications in social networks to the breakfasts that we serve. We are all terrain, we are 4x4 volunteers.
