Main aim of the charity
The primary aim is to provide care packs and support to children impacted by domestic violence and traumatic situations.
Our aim is to shine the light on the invisible victims of domestic violence, the children, to make sure they are not forgotten.
We provide our care packs to remote indigenous communities throughout Darwin via the Federal Police Child Abuse Team.
We support the indigenous community in Sydney via a women's refuge in Tempe and WAGEC (Women and Girls Emergency Centre) in Redfern.
How the employee got involved and why
My wife Danielle founded Care 4 Kids Ltd 4 years ago which is a Not For Profit Charity that supports children impacted by Domestic Violence and traumatic situations.
We put together Care Packs for these children and they are in NSW Police Stations that have a Domestic Violence Team, Woman's Refuges and with Social Workers through Department of Communities & Justice, Federal Police in Darwin Child Abuse team and any request that we get asked we always help and deliver.
We hold a yearly fundraiser where members of the Care 4 Kids community come together to raise much need funds to buy the items in the Care Packs.
What work does the employee do for charity?
To support Care 4 Kids I help Danielle and her Charity with putting the Care Packs together and delivering them where they are needed.
We source the items in the packs to try and make our money stretch further and also collect donations from across Sydney.
We run this charity from home so we are always storing items and making packs and arranging donations.
