Main aim of the charity

Mission Statement: "To promote and fund the conservation of cheetah and other endangered species through captive breeding, research and public awareness." As an example: Cango Wildlife Ranch conservation and breeding programs: For over 28 years our organisation has worked tirelessly for the conservation of cheetah and other endangered species - we are one of the 5 biggest cheetah centres in the world and have for many years had the highest survival rate of cubs produced globally. In our 28 years of breeding endangered animals, Cango Wildlife Ranch has produced more cheetah cubs than that of the entire United States and we have therefore had a dramatic and vital impact on assisting the conservation gene pool of this species.

How the employee got involved and why

I started to support CPF in 2008, after I was there during a vacation in 2007 and I was really impressed with the work they do. It started with a simple adoption of a cheetah, but over time I became more aware of the need to do more as the number of cheetahs is still declining. So I started to give more donations and to spread the word.

What work does the employee do for charity?

Helping to promote the awareness of the need to preserve wildlife. In this case it is the preservation of cheetahs in South Africa with the Cheetah Preservation Foundation, which is part of the cango wildlife ranch. Due to the distance between my homecounty (Germany) and South Africa, my support is sadly limited to donations and adoptions (in the meantime, I have my 4th adopted cheetah).
