Main aim of the charity

The main aim of the Henner Will Foundation is to provide better education chances for disadvantaged children and contribute to the integration of children from different countries in Germany. Beside the administration work and fundraising activities I also initiate and implement our own projects with help of many great volunteers (some of them are colleagues from DP DHL Group - thank you very much for your support!)

How the employee got involved and why

I came to Germany thanks to DAAD scholarship when I was a young stundent. I was so grateful for this opportunity that I decided to establish a foundation for supporting of other children one day, after retiring:-) Once due to stroke of the fate I understood that I shouldn´t postpone my dream till retirement and started preparation of the implementation of this idea. After some time of preparation, getting the required knowledge and skills and struggling with bureaucracy I managed to base the foundation. Today I am very happy that thanks to the foundation we can support education projects of other organisations in Cologen and Nordhorn and even implement our own ideas. Thank to many volunteers we can offer educational activitie to disadvantaged and refugee children in Cologne and make difference in this way.

What work does the employee do for charity?

I co-founded the Henner Will foundation in 2014 with the goal to help disadvantaged children to get better education chances and to contribute to the integration of children from different cultures in Germany. Since then I have been running the foundation as chairwoman and am responsible for administration, fundraising, finance, communication, development and implementation of projects, winning of volunteers and partnership with other organisations.
