Main aim of the charity
The aim of LLBH is to reduce poverty by providing essential support for food, clothing and access to school.
And on a psychological front share the parenting responsibility with the parent child of home by providing advisory body to all the children around the ever changing and challenging life's path.
How the employee got involved and why
This initiative formally took form four years ago, in 2016 when I got engaged with a family of neglected children and again in 2019 I was drawn again to a vulnerable family of child-headed home. I got involved with these families as I wish to give these children a chance in life to experience at least close to an average childhood.
What work does the employee do for charity?
To support Little Lives Big Hearts which is the charitable cause I am involved with, I in a nutshell adopt families of child headed homes. I work with the oldest child in the family and with a small network I have I try to place them in a none special skill jobs. I also source clothes and food staff donations from family and friends.
I have additionally involved my brother who is an artist to run a bi quarterly ''art therapy" session where the children paint and dance as an initiative to unwind them and create social circles for them.
I believe a little smile, a little laugh, a hug and some painting go a long way towards creating a joyful heart - which every child should have an experience off.
