How the employee got involved and why

I started fundraising in April this year for the NHS hospital because of the lock down cause by Covid 19, i just wanted to show kindness for people who where putting the lives at risk for us the public. The befriending service with Age concern was for the same reason to be kind to give up a little time in my week to make a difference, I have 5 clients who i chat to regularly

What work does the employee do for charity?

I supported the local NHS Trust Hospital, Keech Hospice and Age Concern UK by asking for donations from friends and work colleague, we raised £2300 the money was spent on food, drink for the doctors an nurses and the staff at Keech Hospice in Luton. I started a phone befriending service with Age Concern, my very first phone call was with a client who said she would have taken her own life if i had not called with a deep breath we discussed the positives i her life her daughters and her grandchildren and what it could mean too them if she was no longer here. Thankfully she is in a much better place and we chat regularly
