Main aim of the charity

Steptember distribute money towards purchasing specially adapted toys for children with limited motor skills, helps customise wheelchairs to provide life-changing independence to children living with CP, fund research to reduce the severity in babies through intensive early intervention and prevent viruses that can cause CP in babies. All of the donated money goes to children and adults living with cerebral palsy. Helping people living with cerebral palsy to live their best lives

How the employee got involved and why

3 years ago a member of our DSC family’s daughter was diagnosed with CP and participated in Steptember with her family. Once we found out about this amazing cause we all wanted to support and without any hesitation everyone in our department signed up and started stepping and raising money.

What work does the employee do for charity?

DHL Express Australia's (DHLE AU) Direct Sales Channel (DSC) team of 48 staff in Brisbane participated in Steptember, walking 10,000 steps a day for the month of September. With a spring in our step DSC took part in another year supporting a cause close to our hearts, stepping and fundraising in support of the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, an organisation that supports people and families living with cerebral palsy. Incredibly, DSC walked over 15 million steps, raising a total of $12,571
