Main aim of the charity

To educated and enable individuals form disadvantaged backgrounds

How the employee got involved and why

We started the Oak Tree Foundation back in 2012 and as you will see from the attached video have a blue print for success, the video clearly shows why the foundation was started, we began with a vision of changing the lives of people from disadvantaged communities and are doing so through access to a fantastic education/exciting opportunities, creating a positive outlook on the future for these individuals and changing the course of not only their lives but the lives of the families for generations to come. We strongly believe that education is the most important building block for a successful future and unfortunately due to multiple reasons this is not something these young men would have had access to prior to our efforts.

What work does the employee do for charity?

Myself and 10 friends personally sponsor the education of young men from disadvantaged communities to attend Wynberg Boys High School in Cape Town, as past students of this wonderful school we know first hand the difference a good education can make in a persons life, we look to uplift these individuals and their families by focusing the the foundations of a strong education, embed the importance of a well balanced outlook on life and ensure that they are well equipped to create the future they previously could only dream about. All of the sponsored individuals are likely to be the first of their families to finish high school and certainly the first to have access to university so when we say that this impacts generations to come it is no exaggeration at all!!
