How the employee got involved and why

During the last 4 years I decided to combine my holidays as volunteer in social projects in Latinoamerica, a continent which has adopted me since my first travel to Argentina 12 years ago. After gaining experiences with projects in school in Colombia, Mexico and Guatemala, I decided to come back where my way begin to connect with these fantastic part of earth. And I started to check for a project in which I concretely could support, a project who I detected after these 14 days to be the best experience ever. When I was there the desire to help and to give all my best was really contagious, the sense of unity, the collaborations of all volunteers, the sensibility and gratitude of the locals, the efficiency of the association really and concretely give you the sensation that your work and presence is important and you see progresses with the view to work forward in the future and for their development.

What work does the employee do for charity?

I was looking for a project in order to give my support in particular areas, where my help was really needed. Through nice pictures on Instagram taken by Sofia, a girl involved in social projects, I discovered the fantastic work of the association Monte Adentro in Chaco, a region in the north of Argentina. They actively support a population with primary necessities like alphabetizations, fixing of water system, help to work with the own ground, repair their own houses, learn them the manpower and create new possibilities of work and in the same time to give them to earn the food for everyday and almost the dignity to be independent. Very important to allow the kids to start a school process and with a service of healthy. I decided to join a project of two weeks, with the task to help children with primary lessons, with exercises and also with sport, plays, singing and conversation about the importance of our presence there together with them.
