Main aim of the charity

Fulfilling the dying wish of palliative bedridden patiënts. This with a special ambulance that's build to make transport as comfortable as possible for the people and relies on a group of enthusiastic volunteers and a couple paramedics to make sure the person gets the same care during the wish as they would in the hospital.

How the employee got involved and why

I started Ambulance Wens België vzw nearly 10 years ago and am president and coördinator at the moment. I want to give palliative bedridden people their last wishes no matter how big or small. No matter their background or financial situation. The organization has a special ambulance that's build to make transport as comfortable as possible for the people and relies on a group of enthusiastic volunteers and a couple paramedics to make sure the person gets the same care during the wish as they would in the hospital. A dying wish should be possible for everyone.

What work does the employee do for charity

I started this charity and am president and coördinator at the moment. This cause wants to give palliative bedridden people their last wish and we want to give them this wish for free. This means nor the sick person, nor their family has to worry about the costs of this wish. How do we cover these costs? We fully rely on donations and the goodwill of our volunteers.
