Derbyshire Leicestershire Rutland Warwickshire Northamptonshire Air Ambulance
Main aim of the charity
The main aim is to support funding the Air Ambulance to keep it in the air saving lives and helping countless people. Recently I met a lady who had been trampled by a herd of cattle she had 23 broken bones but the Air Ambulance got her to a local hospital and saved her life. The missions cost around £1200 per mission.
How the employee got involved and why
We do it because the Air Ambulance is funded by charity alone with no government funding. It is essential to keep this running and we can assist that goal. We have been doing this for the last 15 years
What work does the employee do for charity
We do various charity fund raisers throughout the year which consist of - raffles - cake bakes - tombola's - Easter Eggstavaganza - Valentines Raffle. We encourage staff to be aware of it's social responsibility by helping the Air Ambulance which is local and can be seen daily flying by on missions, supporting for the good of all the locality.
