Main aim of the charity

My Association PARTAGE ARDECHE SENEGAL is providing assistance to Senegalese bush villages. Every year, at least two medical missions are being organized for those villages with medical consultations and distribution of medicines. For some villages, the construction of "health houses" or their reorganization have even been done. The association is also involved in providing access to education for the children of those isolated and poor villages. It has already contributed to the financing and the building of 43 schools and a college.

How the employee got involved and why

My family has been very involved in this association for about ten year and I thank them for introducing me to it. Some years ago, I also met Jamila, a Senegalese woman. The association managed to make her come in France for an ophthalmic surgery that she could have for free. Her story touched me a lot and also made me aware of the lack of medical care in those bush villages. I became more and more sensible to the actions done by our association for those isolated and poor bush villages of Senegal, both in their actions to provide medical aid or their actions to facilitate access to education. So I started donations for them.

What work does the employee do for charity

Since years, I regularly donate clothes and supplies (pencils, books) for children and babies. This year, I had the opportunity to go in one of those villages with my family and children, meet these villagers and bring them help personally. Everyone knows that misery is present in that world but seeing it with our own eyes is heartbreaking. Those villagers have nothing. I saw how every action, every donation (even the smallest one) is a blessing for them. Now I want to do more for them, like my contribution to this DHL EXPRESS challenge.
