Pashu Seva Kendra (PSK) Animal Welfare
Main aim of the charity
Pashu Seva Kendra (PSK) was initiated in 2006 by the Jain guru Vidya Sagarji. He opened a cow shed in Tendukheda for all these abandoned cows. They got 66 cows and calves to the cow shed and got them
treated for their illnesses and provided them shelter and required nutrition. Right now the number of cowsheds all over the country is 250 with atleast 3000 cows per cowshed! At present the organization is also working towards opening a Veterinary hospital for all types of
stranded or abandoned stray animals where these animals can be treated for free.
How the employee got involved and why
While we all talk about saving the planet, eradicating poverty, etc very little is done or spoken about animal welfare. Animals form key part of our eco system and we must do every bit to save them.
What work does the employee do for charity
Promote animal welfare by supporting a local organization in India which works towards reforming and saving stray cattle . I organize cultural events to raise funds for the group
