Roses way foundation
Main aim of the charity
to support families both emotionally and financially and give them a chance to create lasting memories for not only for the children who are terminally ill, but both the parents and siblings as well. We vowed Rose’s suffering, albeit short, would not be in vain, we will endeavour to ensure our Rosie Bears legacy will live on.
How the employee got involved and why
Rose's way foundation is a very special charity. Like most charitable foundations they are set up after tragedy. A charity close to me as it was set up by a friend (who is now also a DHL employee).
Andrew and his wife set up Roses way Foundation after he lost his little girl to a rare type of cancer, called A.T.R.T, (Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumour). Rose was just 2 days over her 1st birthday when she past away.
With Stregth through adversity Roses way foundation now support families '' walking hand-in-hand with them both emotionally and financially and to give them a chance to create lasting memories. This not only for the children who are terminally ill, but for parents and siblings as well.'' They vowed Rose’s suffering, albeit short, would not be in vain and they would support families in similar circumstances.
I am focused in supporting Roses way foundation and have done since it was founded 2 years ago. Andrew and the charity give me stregth having seen their stregth in coming through any parents worst fears. No parent wants to ever experience their child suffering and no parent wants to feel alone should it happen. Roses way are on a mission to make sure that they are not alone.
What work does the employee do for charity
Over the past 2 years i have arranged and completed a number of fundraising events. In 2021 i set out to run the length of the UK (from Lands End To John O'Groats) which equates to 874 miles.
