TAKING CARE OF STRAY CATS
Main aim of the charity
My charitable cause is that I take care/feed a stray cat in the back yard of our DHL Head Office in Athens, Greece (photos provides). In addition, I am taking care of approximately 15-20 stray cats in my own neighborhood. The work I do is making sure they are fed in the morning and in the afternoon. Also, provide parasite control tablets on a monthly basis, take them to the vet if needed, and try to neuter/castrate them, all of the above at my own expense.
How the employee got involved and why
Charlie Chaplin said "He who feeds a hungry animal, feeds his own soul". We should all change our attitude towards stray animals and provide care and shelter for those who were not lucky to be born in a home or protected environment. I had cats in my house since I was 10 years old. When I changed neighborhood about 8 years ago, I am feeding the stray cats around my new home, and I also feed "Kanella" at our H.O. for the past 4 years. I also try to donate money for medicine to the below mentioned non-profit organizations.
What work does the employee do for charity
My charitable cause is that I am taking care of a stray cat at the back yard of our DHL Head Office in Athens, Greece. I named her "Kanella" (it is greek for Cinnamon), you may see her photos. "Kanella" is already vaccinated and neutered. I made sure she has comfortable accommodation (cat house), and I give her food and water every day as well as make sure to provide deworm/parasite control tablets on a monthly basis. in addition, I am taking care of approximately 15-20 stray cats in my own neighborhood.
