Main aim of the charity

Help people who suffer consequences from the floods where possible.

How the employee got involved and why

I started in July, right after the floods struck Belgium. At the moment you could say I have two full-time jobs; my day job at DHL Express Brussels Hub and the one volunteering in the French part of Belgium supplying people with much needed goods.

What work does the employee do for charity

Soon after the major floods in July, I opened up a depot were people can drop off gifts for the people in need. I mostly engage people via Facebook. This depot is open for gifts two days a week and other days are spent sorting through the collected gifts. During the weekends I drive to the affected areas to hand out these supplies. I’m also busy organizing a Saint-Nicolas celebration for the kids in one of the most affected villages, Trooz, this will take place on December 11th.
