Main aim of the charity

The mission of Hogar Montiel is to dedicate itself to the protection, re-education and reintegration of the female minor population in a situation of vulnerability and social risk. They are based on Christ-centered education with humanizing and constructivist principles, developing them biopsychosocially and spiritually, to help them in their transition and thus opt for alternatives of family resources, placement in another ONG or adoption.

How the employee got involved and why

I started volunteering at the “Hogar Montiel” in August of this year. Hearing the home's purpose of protecting, reeducating and reintegrating girls was my motivation.

What work does the employee do for charity

The Montiel home takes in girls between 4 and 12 years old who are at social risk and whose rights have been violated. Among the ways in which I have helped, I have donated personal items to help them in the garage sale. In September, I had the opportunity to share with the girls, the Pole2Pole activity to plant trees. That day was special, each girl excitedly told her story while we were planting the flowers and trees. Recently, together with my colleagues, we donated 23 shirts.
